About the role
Join Ochsner Health as an Inpatient Physical Therapist, providing evaluation and treatment programs for hospitalized patients based on physician orders. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve their post‑acute goals and ensure safe transitions to home or further care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Assess patient response to therapy and adjust plans to improve outcomes and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
- Ensure treatment protocols align with hospital quality and safety targets.
- Adapt communication and care approach to respect patient privacy and diverse needs.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current state Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to travel between Ochsner facilities as needed.
