Ink Inplant Technician I – 2nd Shift

About the role

Sun Chemical is seeking an Ink Inplant Technician I to work the 2nd shift at a customer site in Columbus, OH. Under minimal supervision you will provide intermediate‑level color matching, formulation, and small‑batch blending to support on‑site production.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and quality‑control inks to meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Perform color matching, formulation, and small‑batch blending.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records and generate weekly/monthly reports for CTS and Sales.
• Coordinate production schedules and identify rework opportunities.
• Provide press‑side technical service, troubleshoot issues, and deliver consistent technical reporting.
• Ensure housekeeping, safety, and proper handling of 50 lb buckets and 500 lb drums.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in the ink or related chemical industry.
• Ability to lift 50 lb repeatedly and handle 500 lb drums safely.
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer‑facing interactions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience using dispensing software and color‑match software.
