Ink Inplant Technician – 2nd Shift (Columbus, OH)

About the role

Sun Chemical is seeking an Ink Inplant Technician for its Columbus, OH location on the 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm). Working on‑site at customer facilities, you will provide basic color matching, small‑batch blending, and technical support to ensure ink products meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and quality‑control inks to meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Provide press‑side technical assistance, primarily color toning.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records for each batch.
• Identify basic rework opportunities by reviewing batch tickets.
• Uphold housekeeping standards and safe operating procedures.
• Handle up to 50 lb buckets and move 500 lb drums following standard procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of industry experience in ink production or a related field.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift required weights safely.
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer‑facing interactions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience using dispensing and color‑matching software.
