Injection Mold Maker

About the role

Our Injection Mold Maker is responsible for fabricating injection molding tooling and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Understand tool steels, production materials, and molding tool room equipment.
• Perform piece‑part inspection to quality specifications.
• Read blueprints or CAD models to construct, alter, or repair tooling.
• Maintain and fabricate molds for the molding department.
• Assist in preventative maintenance, design for manufacturability, and ordering supplies.
• Support on‑time delivery and customer communication.

Required profile

• Complete OTTO apprenticeship or 5 years of mold making/repair experience.
• Knowledge of injection molding tool design and CAD proficiency.
• Ability to operate CNC and EDM machines, surface grinders, and mills.
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
