Infrastructure & Security Analyst II

About the role

Under general direction, the Infrastructure & Security Analyst II will support Texas A&M University‑Texarkana’s enterprise network, cybersecurity operations and technology infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting, analysis, implementation and continuous improvement of both on‑premises and cloud systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network performance, respond to incidents, and provide Tier II support while escalating Tier III issues as needed.
• Maintain network topology diagrams, documentation, inventories and technical standards.
• Configure, deploy and maintain switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls and other network appliances.
• Identify unauthorized devices and security concerns, coordinating remediation efforts.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, patch verification, remediation tracking and security reporting.
• Support security incident response, including investigation, containment and documentation.
• Manage identity and access processes such as account provisioning, access reviews, MFA and privileged access controls.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, disaster recovery testing, backup validation and business continuity initiatives.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire.
• Experience with enterprise network operations, security monitoring and infrastructure management.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and document solutions.
