Infrastructure & Security Analyst II

About the role

Under general direction, the Infrastructure & Security Analyst II provides complex network, infrastructure and cybersecurity support for Texas A&M University‑Texarkana. The role ensures the reliability, availability and security of the institution’s enterprise technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network performance, troubleshoot wired, wireless and telecom issues, and provide Tier II support.
• Maintain network topology diagrams, documentation and inventories; assist with switch, wireless, firewall and appliance configuration.
• Identify unauthorized devices, coordinate remediation and support network expansion projects.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, track remediation, verify patches and generate security reports.
• Monitor security alerts, assist with incident response, containment, recovery and documentation.
• Support identity and access management processes, including account provisioning, MFA and privileged access controls.
• Collaborate with TAMU Cybersecurity Shared Services to implement security policies and standards.
• Assist with disaster recovery, backup validation, business continuity and infrastructure upgrade initiatives.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire (no sponsorship).
• Ability to work under general direction on complex technical tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for network and security issues.
