Infrastructure Engineer - Virtualization

About the role

TensorWave is building large‑scale infrastructure platforms to run high‑performance AI workloads across multiple data centers. The Infrastructure Engineer – Virtualization will ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our hypervisor environments, supporting GPU‑intensive systems and rapidly expanding compute clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large‑scale virtualization environments based on Proxmox and/or KVM.
• Manage the full VM lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, migration, and decommissioning.
• Monitor platform health, respond to host failures, VM performance degradation, and resource contention.
• Troubleshoot issues across hypervisors, guest OS, storage, and networking layers.
• Execute safe infrastructure changes such as cluster expansions, host maintenance, and configuration updates.
• Use automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to standardize deployments and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network Engineering, and Storage Engineering teams.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and documentation of runbooks.

Required profile

• 4–7+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or platform operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux‑based virtualization platforms (KVM/QEMU, Proxmox, VMware).
• Strong Linux fundamentals: process, networking, disk, and filesystem management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot CPU, memory, I/O, and network performance issues.
