Information Technology Specialist (Direct Hire)

About the role

This position provides critical technical leadership for human spaceflight missions, overseeing real‑time mission operations, system development, testing, integration, and training within the Mission Control Center.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate technology systems to identify performance, modernization, and operational improvements.
• Develop and refine system requirements, technical documentation, and implementation plans across all mission phases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and sustain technical solutions that meet mission and operational needs.
• Lead diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex system or application issues affecting mission performance.
• Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance safety, capability, and system performance.
• Coordinate activities among multiple stakeholders to align with mission objectives, policies, and Directorate priorities.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship or allegiance.
• One year of specialized experience at the GS‑13 level, demonstrating ability to analyze and resolve complex technology system issues.
• Experience developing system requirements, technical solutions, and business processes to improve functionality and effectiveness.
• Proven ability to collaborate across organizations and recommend improvements based on performance trends.
