Information Security Specialist

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to strengthen its cyber‑resilience. You will work within the Risk Group’s Information Security New York (ISNY) team, supporting incident response, digital forensics, and security monitoring across both on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct real‑time analysis, triage, and response to security incidents and insider‑risk investigations, collaborating with the National Incident Response Team and internal partners.
• Develop, implement, and maintain operational use cases for security monitoring and detection on cloud and on‑prem platforms.
• Monitor threat‑actor activity, integrate intelligence into detection logic, and adjust response protocols.
• Interact with law enforcement, other Federal Reserve Banks, and government entities as required.
• Champion security orchestration and automation to accelerate response and reduce manual effort.
• Provide knowledge transfer, documentation, and training to peers and partner teams.

Required profile

• Minimum seven years of experience in cybersecurity, with a clear area of specialization.
• Broad understanding of project management and the banking environment.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
