Information Security Engineer (North America, EST)

About the role

Deel is looking for an Information Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of core security platforms across its remote‑first, global environment. You will act as the technical authority for endpoint detection and response, ensuring robust defence‑in‑depth and compliance with worldwide regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools and processes.
• Configure and optimise EDR policies for Mac and Windows endpoints.
• Develop custom threat detection rules and continuously improve the security posture of remote devices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into cloud environments.
• Translate best‑practice frameworks and regulatory requirements into actionable technical controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating security platforms at scale.
• Strong understanding of defence‑in‑depth strategies and global compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote‑first organisation.
