Information Security Engineer - Network Security

About the role

The Information Security Engineer will own the day‑to‑day administration, optimization, and troubleshooting of Harris Health's network security infrastructure. This position is the subject‑matter expert for Cisco security products and ensures the secure connectivity layer supporting the organization’s cloud migration is performant, resilient, and aligned with Zero Trust principles.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Cisco Secure Access (SASE) platform as the primary security gateway.
• Integrate Cisco Secure Access with the Microsoft E5 security stack (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview).
• Review and refine firewall rules, segmentation strategies, VPN solutions, network enclaves, and DMZ architectures.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network operations, and clinical informatics teams to provide secure access for approximately 15,000 employees.
• Create and maintain security standards, network diagrams, and operational documentation.
• Assist in the design, review, and approval of secure network infrastructure configurations.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Cisco security products, especially Secure Access, Firepower Threat Defense, and Firepower IPS.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, and Purview.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Zero Trust and SASE architectures.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and support a large, distributed user base.
