Information Security Analyst

About the role

Charter Schools USA is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join its Risk, Audit, and Education (RAE) framework team. The analyst will work with emerging technologies to protect the organization’s digital assets across a multi‑state school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity expertise and advisory guidance across all RAE functions.
• Lead and manage the Cybersecurity Awareness Training and Education program.
• Make business‑critical incident response decisions and participate in incident handling following the Computer Security Incident Response (CSIR) process.
• Maintain situational awareness of cyber threats and act as needed.
• Conduct forensic investigations supporting HR, Legal, or incident response activities.
• Co‑manage and monitor device security infrastructure with the Desktop Experience team, including policy configuration, alert triage, and platform maintenance.
• Co‑manage and monitor cloud security infrastructure with the CloudOps team, handling policy configuration, quarantine management, and alert triage.
• Assess alerts and notifications from intrusion detection systems and other security monitoring tools.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly analyze threats, understand associated risks, and deploy effective countermeasures.
• Strong knowledge of industry security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, continuously evolving environments.
• Proven capability to lead security projects and training initiatives.
• Excellent judgment for business‑critical incident response decisions.
