Info Security Analyst

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is looking for an enthusiastic Information Security Analyst to join its dynamic security team. The role supports the Federal Reserve System’s mission to maintain agile, risk‑focused security for critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Document and update security controls, including system security plans, configuration management, contingency plans, and risk assessments aligned with NIST 800‑53.
• Provide security consulting to stakeholders and advise on how risks affect information systems.
• Identify new risks, propose mitigations, and share risk information with the Enterprise Risk Management Unit.
• Manage multiple project plans for security reviews and automate manual processes using current technologies.
• Support information security awareness and training for the 8th District, including delivering sessions and creating training materials.
• Review compliance reports, follow up with users, and escalate non‑compliance issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• US citizenship.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Active Directory and Outlook environments.
• Understanding of patch management and security vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft file system permissions, inheritance, auditing, and ownership.
• Ability to create and modify procedural documentation.
• Experience tracking work through Remedy or Jira ticketing systems.
