Infection Preventionist (RN) – Full‑time Day Shift

About the role

UT Health Tyler is seeking a full‑time, day‑shift Registered Nurse to serve as an Infection Preventionist. You will join a People‑First environment that values professional growth, wellness, and cutting‑edge technology to improve patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance, prevention, and control activities related to healthcare‑associated infections.
• Collect and analyze infection data to identify trends and risks.
• Develop and present recommendations to meet the goals of the UT Health Infection Prevention program.
• Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Manager and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) or Medical Technologist.
• Current RN license.
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Prior infection‑prevention experience in a complex health system.
• Experience working with external quality‑driving entities such as government agencies and academic institutions.
