Industrial Superintendent – Construction Projects

About the role

Greystar is seeking an Industrial Superintendent to lead construction and new‑development projects at its Atlanta office. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate execution of development and new construction projects by reviewing blueprints, inspecting work, and overseeing contractors to meet specifications and safety measures.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, reconcile and approve vendor and contractor invoices, and report financial resource needs.
• Develop, execute, and adjust project timetables, accounting for delays due to weather or specification changes.
• Supervise on‑site construction activities, monitor contractor performance, inspect completed work for compliance, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Provide regular progress updates to business leaders, equity partners, and other stakeholders through routine reports and communications.
• Assist in assembling the on‑site construction team by selecting team members, engaging contractors, and managing their performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction, manpower, financial, and safety aspects of large‑scale projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills, including invoice review and expense analysis.
• Effective communication skills for reporting progress to senior leaders and partners.
• Leadership capability to supervise contractors, ensure safety compliance, and resolve on‑site issues promptly.
