Industrial Power Systems Inspector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Power Systems Inspector to evaluate electrical infrastructure in commercial, industrial and mission‑critical facilities. The role involves assessing code compliance, safety and reliability of power distribution equipment, generators, UPS systems and battery technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical one‑lines, schematics and as‑built drawings to verify field accuracy.
• Verify compliance with NFPA (70B, 70E), NEC, OSHA, IEEE and client‑specific standards, including arc‑flash safety assessments.
• Perform visual inspections and infrared thermography to detect hot spots, loose connections or load imbalances.
• Conduct operational checks on UPS systems and battery banks, reviewing maintenance logs and runtime conditions.
• Prepare detailed written reports with photographic documentation, highlighting deficiencies, risks and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Licensed Master Electrician or Journeyman preferred; Electrical Engineering degree with 2–3 years experience also considered.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial or commercial electrical power systems installation, testing, inspection or maintenance.
• Military electrical background highly desirable.
• NFPA Certified Electrical Inspector (CEI) highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, NEC, OSHA, IEEE and electrical safety compliance standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings, one‑lines and technical schematics.
• Experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centers, hospitals or military installations.
