Industrial Operations Technology Instructor & Program Director

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks an experienced professional to lead and teach the Industrial Operations Technology Diploma Program. This dual role combines classroom instruction with program direction, ensuring students acquire hands‑on skills in modern industrial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction covering mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotics, PLC, sensor, and intelligent technology systems.
• Advise students on academic pathways and occupational curricula.
• Assess student learning outcomes and overall program effectiveness.
• Coordinate recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities for the diploma program.
• Assist in budgeting for instructional equipment and laboratory supplies.
• Participate in departmental, college, and community committees.
• Engage in professional development to enhance instructional methods.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in a related field with ≥3 years of relevant field experience, or a diploma with ≥5 years experience.
• Alternative qualification: SACA certifications (Silver) such as C‑201, C‑202, C‑204, C‑207, C‑208, C‑209, C‑210, C‑255.
• Gold‑level SACA certifications (same list) required within six months of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
