Industrial Operations Technology Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks an experienced Industrial Operations Technology Instructor to deliver classroom instruction for its Industrial Operations Technology Diploma program. You will guide students in mastering the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as advanced robotics and automation technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum covering mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotics, PLCs, sensors, and intelligent technologies.
• Assess student learning outcomes and program performance.
• Coordinate recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities for the diploma program.
• Assist in budgeting and procurement of instructional equipment and laboratory supplies.
• Participate in departmental committees, college projects, and community outreach.
• Engage in professional development to enhance instructional methods.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in a related field with at least three years of relevant in‑field experience, or a diploma with five years of experience.
• Alternative qualifications may include SACA certifications (Silver) or a SACA Certified Industry 4.0 Automation Systems Specialist credential.
• Gold‑level SACA certifications (C‑201, C‑202, C‑204, C‑207, C‑208, C‑209, C‑210, C‑255) must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
