Industrial Maintenance Supervisor – Water/Wastewater Operations

About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians in a water and wastewater treatment facility. The role ensures safe, efficient, and permit‑compliant operation of mechanical, electrical and civil systems while supporting client projects and departmental budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and train two or more full‑time maintenance staff and contractors.
• Plan, schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance across plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, carpentry, painting and vehicle servicing.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and enforce company safety policies.
• Develop, administer and monitor the departmental budget.
• Coordinate with front‑line supervisors, operators, managers and clients to ensure efficient and compliant plant operation.
• Support capital projects and fill in for absent supervisors as needed.
• Track key performance indicators and manage work schedules on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Provide feedback, coaching and disciplinary actions when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance personnel in an industrial setting.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to model professional behavior.
• Administrative proficiency with attention to detail for budget and KPI management.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
