Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain & Production Optimization

About the role

Track Group Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to serve as the strategic bridge between the Supply Chain and Engineering teams. Based in Naperville, IL, the role requires regular on‑site presence at the Glendale Heights fulfillment center and focuses on optimizing the full product lifecycle for electronic device production and refurbishment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and improve logistics and supply‑chain processes to boost efficiency and cut costs.
• Oversee inventory strategies and enforce rigorous inspection protocols for inbound and outbound goods.
• Perform data analysis, identify root causes of quality issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with suppliers to enhance quality, manage non‑conforming products, and evaluate performance.
• Translate early‑stage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into actionable production, sourcing, and procurement plans.
• Identify material obsolescence risks, component shortages, and develop alternative component solutions.
• Validate manufacturing workflows, conduct time studies, and apply lean techniques to reduce lead times.
• Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and supplier performance metrics.
• Audit production processes to ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry standards.

Required profile

• Proven ability to analyze and improve logistics and supply‑chain operations.
• Experience overseeing inventory and warehouse management with strong inspection controls.
• Demonstrated data‑analysis and root‑cause problem‑solving expertise.
• Track record of managing supplier relationships and implementing corrective actions.
• Capability to translate BOMs and ECOs into production and procurement plans.
