Indoor Horticulturist

About the role

John Mini Distinctive Landscapes is seeking a part‑time Indoor Horticulturist to join its Indoor Service team. The role involves caring for and maintaining plant installations at commercial locations throughout Jersey City, working 7‑8 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine watering, pruning, and health checks on indoor plant displays.
• Identify and address plant health issues, applying appropriate treatments.
• Maintain accurate records of plant care activities and observations.
• Provide courteous, knowledgeable service to commercial clients.
• Assist with the installation and re‑placement of indoor plantings as needed.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in plant care, gardening, or general landscaping.
• Passion for the green industry and a desire to make a positive community impact.
• Optimistic, eager to learn, and comfortable working hands‑on.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
