Indirect Tax Analyst

About the role
The Indirect Tax Analyst will support RRD by researching, interpreting, and applying state and local sales/use tax laws. Working under general supervision, the analyst will lead tax audit projects and ensure accurate tax compliance across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file state, local, and provincial sales/use tax returns, property tax, business licenses, and related filings.
- Conduct tax compliance activities, support tax‑planning projects, and verify accuracy of sales tax accrual accounts.
- Maintain documentation for exempt customers and miscellaneous invoice charges to prevent audit exposure.
- Assist in the collection, payment, and refund processes for sales/use taxes.
- Lead state and local tax audits and contribute to Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance efforts.
- Stay current on tax legislation and develop recommendations to resolve tax issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, finance, or related fields, with sales and use tax exposure preferred.
- Strong analytical ability to identify critical elements and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Proficiency with Mac operating system.
