Indirect Tax Analyst

About the role

Bosch is looking for an Indirect Tax Analyst who will own complex indirect tax compliance projects across the United States and Canada. The role combines tax expertise with a continuous‑improvement mindset, supporting tax controls, technology initiatives and process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of indirect tax compliance and reporting for US state and local sales, use, gross receipts taxes, Canadian GST, VAT, property tax and unclaimed property.
• Lead sales‑ and use‑tax nexus determination, registrations and renewals.
• Manage indirect tax payments, notices and correspondence.
• Prepare Form W‑9 and annual federal Form 1099 reporting.
• Process and maintain the sales‑tax exemption certificate system.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives to standardise and automate indirect tax activities.
• Assist with policy implementation, tax‑technology roll‑outs and indirect tax audits.
• Provide technical research, analysis and support to business units and external providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment or an indirect‑tax/accounting firm.
• 3+ years of US indirect tax compliance, audit and research experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Vertex, SAP and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modelling).
• 1+ years of experience with data‑analytics, desktop‑automation, data‑visualisation and AI tools.
• Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate, Master’s degree, knowledge of Canadian indirect tax.
