Indirect Procurement Manager

About the role

Radiant, a startup developing portable nuclear micro‑reactors, is looking for an Indirect Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for all non‑product categories. The role will support engineering, operations, finance and production teams to secure cost‑effective, high‑quality services and goods essential for facility operations and R&D collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for indirect categories such as IT hardware/software, SaaS, professional services, MRO, consumables and R&D collaborations.
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on total cost of ownership, quality, reliability and strategic fit.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations, including Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and licensing terms, especially with national laboratories and university research labs.
• Own procurement for all facility‑related needs, covering building maintenance, repairs, capital equipment, security, janitorial, waste management, utilities and small‑scale construction projects.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure suppliers meet Radiant’s technical, quality and commercial requirements.

• Proactive, strategic thinker with strong negotiation capabilities.
• Experience managing indirect spend in fast‑paced, regulated environments.
• Ability to work across engineering, operations, finance and production functions.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with total‑cost‑of‑ownership assessments.
