In-Home Caregiver

About the role

BrightStar Care of Greater Waukesha and Lake Country is seeking compassionate individuals to provide in‑home health care. As an In‑Home Caregiver you will support patients in their own residences, helping them stay comfortable, safe, and independent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation.
• Help with daily living activities including meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and follow individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a clean, safe environment.

Required profile

• Current CPR certification (preferred).
• Ability to work around pets (preferred).
• Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in home health or caregiving (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism.
