Implant Technician (Tier 2)

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, designing and servicing equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Implant Technician (Tier 2) supports equipment maintenance in a clean‑room environment at the Dallas‑Richardson site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Tier I procedures, preventative maintenance and wet‑cleans, seeking assistance when needed.
• Execute preventative maintenance and wet‑cleans independently.
• Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance and diagnose basic technical problems.
• Disassemble, clean and rebuild kits as part of kit‑management quality.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and use test equipment under senior‑engineer guidance.

Required profile

• Physically demanding work requiring extensive walking, standing, lifting up to 35 lb, and ability to work in tight spaces and noisy environments.
• Use of clean‑room personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves and respirators.
• No supervisory responsibilities; must follow safety and IP guidelines.
