About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Miami is seeking a Fall 2026 Immigrant Youth Casework Intern to support its Immigrant Youth team. This unpaid, flexible‑hour position will help connect immigrant children and families with essential community resources and contribute to outreach initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist caseworkers with school enrollment, public benefits applications, referrals, and client advocacy.
• Research and compile information on local community resources.
• Reach out to local organizations to establish partnerships.
• Maintain client case notes and files, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Communicate case statuses and coordinate service plans with supervisors.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Interest in serving immigrant youth and families.
• Ability to travel within the Miami‑Dade region.
