Identity & Driver Credential Specialist (MSA) – Decatur

About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking three full‑time Identity & Driver Credential Specialists (MSA) to work at its Decatur location. In this customer‑focused position you will help residents obtain learner’s permits, driver’s licenses, and state‑issued identity cards while ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Issue learner’s permits to teenagers and process related documentation.
• Convert out‑of‑state licenses and issue new driver’s licenses to first‑time drivers.
• Administer written and road tests, and handle any associated incidents.
• Process applications for state identity cards in accordance with legal requirements.
• Provide courteous, accurate service to a high‑volume, diverse customer base.
• Assist with incident management such as irate customers, slips, falls, or medical emergencies.
• May act as team lead for lower‑level staff when required.
