About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking a motivated individual to join its team in Valdosta as an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist 1. In this full‑time position you will assist residents with driver‑related services, ensuring accurate issuance of permits, licenses, and identity cards.

Key responsibilities

• Issue learner’s permits, driver licenses, and state identity cards in compliance with Georgia law.
• Convert out‑of‑state licenses and assist newcomers with credential transitions.
• Administer written and road examinations for first‑time drivers.
• Provide courteous, accurate customer service to a diverse public audience.
• Maintain detailed records and follow established procedural guidelines.
