About the role
The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist I to join its Calhoun office. In this full‑time, customer‑focused position you will help residents obtain learner permits, driver licenses, identity cards and out‑of‑state license conversions while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Process applications for learner permits, driver licenses and state ID cards.
- Convert out‑of‑state licenses to Georgia licenses.
- Administer written and road examinations for first‑time drivers.
- Verify documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with state law.
- Provide courteous, timely assistance to a diverse public audience.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure security and accuracy.
