ICU Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

About the role

AdventHealth in Orlando is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on a day shift. The schedule is 36 hours per week, 7am to 7pm, with rotating weekends. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases of up to 20% through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors, and develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required)
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• EKG and advanced life support training (requirements listed separately)
