Ice Crew – Part‑time Skating Staff

About the role

The New York Islanders are hiring part‑time Ice Crew members to support home games and special events at UBS Arena. As a member of the Ice Crew you will skate on the ice, assist with ice maintenance, and engage fans during intermissions.

Key responsibilities

• Shovel and maintain the ice surface during TV timeouts and other scheduled breaks.
• Perform fan‑activation activities on the ice during intermissions.
• Skate safely with teammates and around the arena throughout the event.
• Follow all New York Islanders and NHL policies, including dress code and safety guidelines.
• Attend all home games and additional events as requested by management.

Required profile

• Strong skating ability; prior hockey experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Knowledge of New York Islanders, Long Island area, and NHL rules.
• Strong work ethic and personal integrity.
