Hydroblasting Equipment Operator

About the role

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Hydroblasting Equipment Operator to safely execute hydroblasting, vacuum, and related cleaning jobs across multiple service lines. The role serves as a front‑line representative, building strong relationships with clients while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as safety representative, enforcing company and customer safety policies on‑site.
• Operate manual and automated hydroblasting equipment, including Ultra High‑Pressure (UHP) pumps.
• Run vacuum trucks, cutting equipment, liquid vacs, air machines, and jet rodders as required.
• Inspect cleaned surfaces to verify conformance with specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on all equipment used on the job.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians and coordinate crew activities.
• Transport equipment and personnel to customer locations, completing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, driver’s logs, and DOT compliance.
• Load and unload hoses, unload vacuum trucks at dump sites, and provide general field maintenance.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training with classroom safety instruction and on‑the‑job experience.
• Proficient in English sufficient to understand safety training and emergency instructions.
• Valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license and ability to meet company driving policies.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
• Experience operating vacuum trucks and related cleaning equipment.
• Smartphone capable of supporting an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
