HVAC Estimating Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our Garden City office and independently prepare detailed estimates for commercial HVAC construction projects. You will work on scopes ranging from small tenant fit‑outs to large‑scale $10M+ jobs, develop proposals and cost breakdowns, and take part in pre‑bid meetings and on‑site walkthroughs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for commercial HVAC projects.
• Develop proposals and cost breakdowns for bids.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings and job‑site walkthroughs to assess field conditions.
• Estimate projects of varying size, from small scopes to $10M+ jobs.
• Collaborate with the Head of Estimating and senior team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial mechanical subcontractor.
• Degree in engineering or construction‑related discipline is a plus but not required.
• Strong desire to learn and improve independently and from peers.
• Comfortable using Excel and standard office tools.
• Familiarity with estimating software or willingness to learn.
