Hutton's Gas Dock Attendant

About the role

The Hutton's Gas Dock Attendant ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests at the marina. This onsite position combines customer service, dock operations, and basic boat maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the dock area.
• Greet residents and guests, providing exceptional service and answering inquiries.
• Promote the family‑friendly lifestyle and engage members in marina activities.
• Prepare the valet dock area, arrange chairs and tables, stock fridges and freezers, and start services on schedule.
• Perform daily boat maintenance tasks such as uncovering, covering, and stocking member vessels.
• Complete opening and closing procedures, side work, and inventory restocking.
• Uphold club uniform standards and assist coworkers with disposal and restocking.
• Communicate safety and maintenance concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Record daily facility usage and report charges to the Outdoor Pursuits office.
• Assist with slip rentals for daily moorage and enforce club policies.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a maritime or recreational boating environment.
• Strong knowledge of knot etiquette, boat safety, and state water‑way regulations.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift items over 50 lb.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• CPR certification (preferred).
• Basic first‑aid certification (preferred).
