Human Resources Coordinator – Operations

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support operations at Chattahoochee Technical College. This full‑time position will manage benefits and payroll functions, supervise HR staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate benefits enrollment, presentations, and training for new hires and existing employees.
• Maintain health insurance, flexible benefits, and disability claim processes.
• Serve as liaison between college employees, insurance administrators, and external agencies.
• Oversee payroll‑related activities and ensure accurate processing.
• Assist with onboarding, off‑boarding, and confidential HRIS record management.
• Provide guidance to supervisors on leaves, benefits, and related policies.
• Track workers’ compensation incidents and report as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in benefits and payroll administration, preferably in a public‑sector environment.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal employment regulations.
• Ability to supervise and train HR staff and other employees.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills.
