Human Resources Coordinator – 5th Ave

About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator will support the Area HR Manager in delivering HR services for a retail store located on 5th Ave. This role blends employee‑relations support, talent acquisition, payroll assistance, and administrative HR tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Area HR Manager on employee‑relations issues and staffing objectives.
• Process HR reports, policies, and procedures; act as liaison for leaves, PTO, workers‑comp, and other employee queries.
• Assist with interviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and provide day‑to‑day HR support at the store level.
• Collaborate with store managers, training, and payroll teams; deliver training to HR associates on processes, employment law, and recruiting.
• Advise the Store Manager on workforce planning and support recruiting through external partnerships, job fairs, and on‑site events.
• Manage the full hiring cycle: post openings, conduct orientations, complete employment forms, and track new‑hire start dates.
• Support multiple store locations and contribute to special HR projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of human‑resources or related experience; retail experience is a plus.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with applicant‑tracking systems and HR platforms (Workday preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and customer‑service orientation.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment law, EEOC guidelines, and flexible availability for evenings/weekends.
• Willingness to travel 10–25 % as needed.
