HSE Manager – Operations

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives for a construction project in Beckley, WV. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and update the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety education sessions and on‑site safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and client‑specific HSE regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into all phases of construction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other relevant safety standards.
• Ability to work on‑site five days a week and reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
