About the role

We are seeking an HR Partner to join the State of Georgia’s workforce, supporting a college or business unit in delivering strategic human‑resource initiatives. The role partners with leadership to align HR practices with the organization’s goals and foster a high‑performance, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Advise executive team on human capital matters to enhance effectiveness and drive performance.
• Collaborate on workforce, succession, and organizational design planning.
• Partner with talent acquisition to attract and onboard talent that fits the culture.
• Provide recommendations to improve employee engagement and retention.
• Address employee relations issues, mediate conflicts and ensure policy compliance.
• Lead initiatives to resolve employee relations matters fairly and consistently.
• Identify training and development needs and support leadership development programs.
• Facilitate performance management processes, including goal‑setting and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, state policies and safety standards.
• Develop policies and procedures to mitigate employment‑related risks.

Required profile

• Understanding of post‑secondary vocational/technical education mission.
• Knowledge of program assessment, strategic planning, and budget management.
• Familiarity with local demographics, regional issues and social culture.
• Strong advisory and relationship‑building abilities with employees and leaders.
