HR Partner Director – Advanced Packaging

About the role

The HR Partner Director for Advanced Packaging will lead HR strategy and execution for a critical business unit at Applied Materials. This senior position partners closely with executive leadership to shape culture, drive talent initiatives, and support the company’s semiconductor and AI technology roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Shape HR BU/Function strategies and priorities to align with business goals and evolving needs.
• Conduct organizational and talent assessments, develop talent pipelines, and manage succession planning.
• Design and implement change‑management, communication, and engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with COE and HR Operations to execute annual HR programs and processes.
• Leverage tools such as Workday and Workforce Dashboard for analytics supporting business strategy.
• Lead M&A diligence and integration from an HR perspective, partnering with core M&A teams.
• Provide leadership on at least one enterprise‑wide initiative each year.

Required profile

• Recognized as a subject‑matter expert or “guru” in HR functions.
• Broad expertise in leading‑edge HR theories, techniques, and technologies.
• Influences internal and external business or regulatory issues impacting the unit.
• Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams and provides thought leadership.
• Proactively solves complex problems using innovative methods.
• Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators, or vendors to influence decisions.
