HR Manager & Business Partner for Northeast Retail

About the role

As an HR Manager and Business Partner, you will act as a cultural ambassador for Burberry, partnering with Northeast stores, East Coast outlets and the Distribution Center to drive talent and leadership capabilities. You will help create an environment where the business can thrive and deliver exceptional results today and into the future.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute people strategies that improve talent retention, reduce attrition and enhance employee satisfaction.
• Analyse business and employee performance data, produce regular reports and provide proactive recommendations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leaders, offering challenge, coaching and strategic HR guidance.
• Ensure legal compliance and alignment with brand values, managing employee‑relations cases, grievances and investigations.
• Coach line managers on handling ER issues and deliver training on policies and guidelines.
• Manage relationships with unions, work councils and employee representatives, supporting labor‑relations initiatives.
• Partner with senior HR leadership to design and implement effective HR processes that support strategic growth.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate HR insights into commercial impact.
• Experience in employee relations, grievance handling and union engagement.
• Proven capability to build credibility as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical skills for interpreting performance and HR metrics.
• Ability to coach and up‑skill line managers on HR best practices.
