HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in Airbnb’s Employee Experience delivery model, supporting the workforce across the Americas. This position ensures HR services are delivered accurately, timely, and with high quality throughout the employee journey.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business Talent teams to support the Employee Experience and people strategy for assigned business units.
• Act as the primary HR point of contact for business teams, addressing and resolving employee matters.
• Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, roadmaps, and operational needs.
• Intake, analyze, and execute plans to address a broad range of employee issues, collaborating with EX partners as needed.
• Advise and coach managers and employees on people matters, providing functional guidance.
• Promote self‑service tools and enable employees to resolve inquiries independently.
• Collaborate with EX Centers of Expertise to plan and support cyclical programs such as performance management, compensation reviews, talent reviews, and employee listening.
• Work with Legal, Total Rewards, and Talent Ops to ensure compliance, compensation clarity, and smooth talent processes.
• Identify trends and patterns to inform organizational insights and proactive planning.

Required profile

• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with the ability to engage business, EX/HR, and global/regional teams.
• Solid understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
• Analytical mindset to detect trends and contribute to organizational insights.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑growing, dynamic environment.
