HR Generalist – Full‑Cycle HR & Benefits Specialist

About the role

The HR Generalist will manage daily HR operations, including hiring, interviewing, payroll administration, performance management, benefits, leave, and policy enforcement. The role acts as a liaison between departments to support talent management, compensation, career development, and manager capability.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits such as medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, disability, life insurance, COBRA, and 401(k) and support the open‑enrollment process.
• Handle HRIS technical requirements, carrier file feeds, evidence of insurability, and provide system support and training to HR staff and employees.
• Lead wellness program initiatives and manage the associated budget.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain policies, conduct audits, and recommend best practices.
• Manage leave of absence processes and support senior HR leadership as needed.
• Review and analyze HR data to identify trends and develop action plans for performance, retention, and employee engagement.
• Support talent acquisition and new‑hire onboarding activities based on requisition load.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure a smooth experience for employees.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment regulations and HR best practices.
• Experience administering benefits and managing open‑enrollment cycles.
• Ability to analyze HR data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Proven capability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and senior HR leaders.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate employee records.
