HR Coordinator

About the role

The HR Coordinator will support the People Operations & Culture function, ensuring a smooth employee experience from onboarding through offboarding for both corporate and retail teams. Reporting to the Manager of People Operations & Culture, you will act as a central point of contact for HR administration, talent acquisition logistics, and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment logistics, maintain the ATS, and assist in building talent pipelines.
• Facilitate new‑hire onboarding (I‑9, benefits enrollment, system setup) and serve as the primary contact during the first 30 days.
• Manage off‑boarding processes, including paperwork, system access removal, and exit interviews.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and process promotions, transfers, pay adjustments, and leaves of absence.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across North America.
• Provide first‑line support for employee questions on policies, benefits, and HR processes.
• Help plan and execute employee engagement events and culture programs.
• Assist employees with benefits inquiries, partner with payroll on employment changes, and support open enrollment.
• Collaborate with retail store managers on workforce planning, scheduling, and HR compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in retail, fashion, or a consumer‑facing brand.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of U.S. employment law; familiarity with Canadian standards is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as ADP or Workday.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
