Houseman – Hotel Housekeeping Support

About the role

The Houseman supports the Housekeeping Department at Hyatt Regency Deerfield by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, delivering linens and amenities, and assisting room attendants to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with Hilton brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, meeting spaces and employee areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and sanitize designated areas throughout the property.
• Deliver clean linens, towels, amenities, roll‑away beds, cribs and other guest‑requested items.
• Stock housekeeping closets and supply rooms with linens, amenities and cleaning supplies.
• Collect and transport soiled linens and trash from guest‑room floors to designated areas.
• Assist Room Attendants with trash removal, room stripping, supply replenishment and special projects.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and service calls in a courteous, professional manner.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, lost‑and‑found items and guest issues to management.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
• Maintain storage rooms, housekeeping carts and work areas in a clean, organized condition.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel housekeeping, janitorial, custodial or facilities experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
