Housekeeping Supervisor – Boutique Hotel

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead daily housekeeping operations at The Nickel, a design‑forward boutique hotel in Charleston. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will ensure rooms and public areas meet brand standards while fostering a professional, service‑driven team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities, guaranteeing cleanliness of guest rooms and public spaces.
• Conduct detailed inspections of rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Train, coach, and support housekeeping staff to maintain consistency and quality.
• Assist with scheduling, task assignments, and workflow management.
• Monitor inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and coordinate with engineering.
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols at all times.
• Perform hands‑on cleaning during high‑volume periods.
• Promote a positive, team‑oriented environment rooted in hospitality and respect.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
