Housekeeper Supervisor – Metro RYDC (Atlanta, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Housekeeper Supervisor for the Metro RYDC facility in Atlanta. In this position you will lead a team of housekeeping staff, ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, and oversee laundry and linen services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, plan and assign work for housekeeping staff.
• Maintain and stock cleaning equipment, supplies, and laundry resources.
• Observe safety protocols when disposing of contaminated waste.
• Operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment.
• Oversee mending of linens, clothing, and other items, and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Plan, develop, schedule and implement laundry services.
• Direct housekeeping, grounds maintenance, laundry and sewing services.
• Press, store and manage all linens.
• Supervise cleaning and straightening of assigned facility areas.

Required profile

• At least one (1) year of experience in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role in a related area, or equivalent experience as a Housekeeper 3.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools.
• Operation of power cleaning equipment.
• Experience with laundry equipment and linen handling.
