House Manager with Meal Prep Support

About the role

We are a busy family of four in Alexandria seeking a proactive, part‑time House Manager to keep our home organized and running smoothly. The role includes daily household resets, meal planning, laundry, inventory management, and occasional deep‑cleaning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily resets: dishes, surface clearing, vacuuming high‑traffic areas, and trash removal.
• Maintain kitchen appliances, refill espresso machine, and prep spaces before cleaners arrive.
• Organize laundry, handle delicate items, and rotate linens.
• Plan and prep ingredients for four family dinners per week and batch‑prepare children’s lunches.
• Restock pantry, fridge, household and pet supplies; manage subscription deliveries.
• Handle errands such as dry cleaning, pharmacy runs, and package handling.
• Support seasonal décor rotation, outdoor space upkeep, and special projects after home renovations.

Required profile

• Proactive, anticipatory, and comfortable learning family rhythms.
• Organized, tech‑savvy, and able to follow detailed household systems.
• Reliable transportation, smoke‑free and fragrance‑free environment compliance.
• Comfortable around young children, a puppy, cats, birds, fish and a frog.
• General vaccinations; COVID and flu vaccines preferred.
