Host/Hostess for Main Dining Room

About the role

Join the Basin Harbor team as a Host or Hostess in the main dining room and outlets. You will be the first point of contact for guests, helping create a welcoming atmosphere during the resort’s 140th‑year celebration and the busy summer season.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their seats.
• Assist serving staff and the Dining Room Captain or Manager to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Maintain awareness of dining room procedures and seating arrangements.
• Handle guest inquiries and coordinate with the kitchen as needed.
• Uphold the resort’s service standards and etiquette throughout each shift.

Required profile

• Understanding of proper etiquette and service standards; prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively, and pay close attention to detail.
• Efficient multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional appearance and clean, well‑kept presentation.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and long shifts, including walking and standing for extended periods.
• Capability to lift 20 lb repeatedly.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment criminal background and reference checks.
