Host – Front‑of‑House Guest Experience Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Host to be the first and last point of contact for guests at Dakar NOLA. As the face of our West African fine‑dining restaurant, you will set the tone for a memorable experience and ensure smooth service flow throughout both of our dining concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with genuine warmth, managing the emotional tone of the dining experience.
• Review the reservation book, communicate guest notes, VIP chits, and special occasions to the Manager on Duty.
• Manage reservations, walk‑ins, waitlists, and table availability across both concepts with precision.
• Distribute guest chits to servers, kitchen, and expediter before seating.
• Seat guests thoughtfully, guide them through the space, and assist with coat check, purse stools, and opening water service.
• Maintain real‑time communication of table status, pacing, and service updates to the dining room team.
• Coordinate with Front‑of‑House and Back‑of‑House teams to support service flow and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure the reception area remains organized, polished, and welcoming at all times.
• Deliver a sincere farewell to departing guests, closing the experience loop.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience; fine‑dining experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
• Professional appearance with black close‑toed non‑slip shoes.
